The importance of laboratory tests

At Bright Care we care about informing our patients about medical issues that are relevant to them, that’s why we want to share with you the importance of laboratory tests and how they help you take care of your health and prevent disease.

Our priority at Bright Care is to keep our patients healthy so they can enjoy a healthy and peaceful life, and that’s why we use laboratory tests. They allow us to analyze how the body is functioning, identify diseases before they present symptoms to be able to act in time, detect abnormalities and obtain detailed information to prescribe treatments, among others.

Some of the lab tests we have available at Bright Care are:

  • Glucose test: This test measures the levels of glucose, a type of sugar and body’s main source of energy, in the blood. By measuring how much glucose is in the blood, it is possible to prevent diseases and improve blood health.
  • Urine test: This test examines the color, odor, acidity level and the presence of substances in urine and thus obtain information about kidneys and blood functionality. Thanks to this test it’s possible to determine if you are in good health or if it’s necessary to change eating habits to prevent diseases.
  • Strep test: This is a quick and simple test that helps determine the cause of a sore throat, rule out any possible complications and prescribe appropriate treatment. Getting this test on time helps prevent infections.

Laboratory tests are great allies of doctors because they help to specifically identify patients’ needs and make decisions in time to prevent diseases and declining health.

It’s common to feel nervous when your doctor advises you to take medical tests, so we recommend you to keep calm and remember that these are quick and simple procedures that can help to prevent diseases and improve health.

At Bright Care our priority is our patients’ health and peace of mind, that’s why we want you to be informed about everything we do in our practice. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help you.
