This 2020 has been a challenging year but has given us a lot of lessons as well. It has shown us to look at our lives from a different perspective. One of the biggest lessons we learned is that a virus can easily and rapidly spread in a community when there are no vaccines available to stop it’s spread.
Even though we are still fighting against the virus of Covid-19, we need to start thinking about how we can protect ourselves and our families from the FLU season that will be here sooner than later. Thankfully for this virus we have the resources available to give the fight and to protect our communities. That is why it is so important to get vaccinated on time.
The FLU is a highly contagious respiratory illness that generally runs from October to May. This virus can cause mild to severe illness prompting complications like pneumonia among others and even though any one can become infected, people older than 65 and kids younger than 2 are more vulnerable to complications from the FLU. It is our responsibility to protect them, providing them with all the resources available to do so.
